Issues using Vuforia with Firebase analytics

Greetings all 

 

I've developed an app with Unity for both iOS and Android, using BOTH Ground Plane and a Cylinder target (at different times). I was hoping to employ Google's Firebase for analytics tracking but when Firebase is added to the project a major problem arises. 

In the Unity Editor - the app just beachballs when trying to run

"build and run" on mobile(Android) -  completes successfully but it seems like Firebase never initializes. Vuforia most definitely does not initialize. 

I've not tried running with XCode and will try to do so in the coming days, there certainly might be some better debug info there...

 

I've used Firebase with other Unity projects with no problem, the combo with Vuforia seems to be the problem here. I have no errors in the editor whatsoever. Everything appears to be coexisting in the project just fine.

 

Anyone have ideas or insight?

I'm having the same problem, this is what I found on logcat:

DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'VuforiaWrapper': The specified module could not be found

And this caught my attention:

(Filename: currently not available on il2cpp Line: -1)

So I changed to Mono instead of IL2CPP and it worked, everything seems to be working now, BUT... IL2CPP is the only way to build for ARM64 architecture, which Google Play seems to require now and will not accept builds without it after August 1st 2019. So basically we are on a time bomb now.

My team is going to buy Vuforia support, and this is our top priority to discuss with them, since this is for a big client of us. Hang in there @GenuineDEV

Edit: I just updated to Unity 2019.1.1f1 and the new vuforia version supports il2cpp, so everything is back to normal
