Is it possible to make?

February 20, 2019 - 10:09am #1

I want to make a Vuforia + Unity project where it can show me a simple molecule, I don't want to make it recognize a molecule via pattern, I want to know if it's possible to make Unity/Vuforia recognize it via a database or something like that, an example, there is an marker to show Hydrogen, and a marker to show an Oxygen, it will interpret nothing but the single element, because there is not H+O in my database, but when I put another H, it will recognize a water molecule (H2O), I will attach an image to make it clear.

Okay, I know that it can detect that there are two markers in the camera's field of view at any given time, but, can it interpret a different thing (in this case the H2O molecule), when there is 2 Hydrogen and 1 Oxygen? Like in the 3rd part of my picture, with a "if else" statement or something like that?

Hello,

Vuforia's VuMark feature allows for the detection and tracking of multiple, similar VuMark targets. Here's an overview of the feature: https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Training/VuMark.html

Therefore, if you create a VuMark that is specific to the Hydrogen marker, you can detect that there are two (or more) in the camera's field of view at any given time. I confirmed this with our Core samples.

This differs from other Vuforia Engine image tracking features where duplicate targets are not supported.

Thanks,

Vuforia Engine Support
