Mesh from ModelTarget

Hello,

Is it possible to get a mesh from a ModelTarget ?

It must be in the xml/dat somewhere because I can see it in the editor preview.

If it is not possible, it would be a nice feature.

Hello,

You can find a mesh as output by the Model Target generator. One is a GLTF in Ascii format (".gltf"), along with binary asset files (".bin"). These assets are *not* included in the Model Targets device database. It is up to you to package it with your project/app.

Thank you for the information.

 

I was trying to find a way to load it directly from the database.

I have just found a  m3DGuideViewModel GameObject in ModelTargetBehaviour. Any possibility to use it ?

Hello,

This is specific to the guide view, which is generated as part of Model Target authoring. I don't believe it is going to provide the mesh you're looking for.

So far, no way to directly get a mesh from a ModelTarget, even if I think it is inside.

The dataset produced by the MTG includes renderings of the model from the Guide View (detection position), which you can use if you want to create your own custom Guide View images that might be a better match for the visual style vivavideomaker.
