Hey guys,
I am working with Unity 2017.1.1f1 and the vuforia plugIn for unity on a MacBook pro. I set up a very simple app according to this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnjbTytHH6U&t=603s
I ran into an issue with positioning the model on the ImageTarget. So my Model is a child of the ImageTarget and should appear on the surface of the model as the ImageTarget is detected (As shown in the Video). Somehow this does not work. When I click run in unity (which works fine, my camera turns on) and the built-in webcam detects the ImageTarget, my model will just appear on the screen in a static position (The relative position I positioned the ImageTarget and the model to the AR Camera in the editor). So my model will appear (for example) in the top left corner of the camera as soon as the ImageTarget is detected (Even though the ImageTarget is in the center of the screen). And it will stay there until the ImageTarget is not visible anymore.
I think this might have something to do with my webcam, since the Inspector says: "No webcam profile has been found for your webcam model: 'FaceTime HD Camera'. Default profile will be used" (Vuforia is searching for the profile in .../QCAR/WebcamProfiles/profile.xml). I've learnt from google, that this might be a version issue with unity. But somehow no one was really able to fix this. Does someone have a solution for that? If it is possible not to downgrade to a lower unity version, that would be amazing. :-)
So my two questions are: 1. Does anyone know how to fix the weird "static model" issue? 2. Could there be a correlations between the missing webcam issue? And if yes, does anyone know how to solve this?
Thank you so much guys!
Cheers,
Tobi
So finally I got to fix this
So finally I got to fix this error.
First of all the webcam issue: It is not an issue. If this warning comes up, you can just keep it like that without getting any issues
