I'm having trouble finding this information through the library so hopefully someone here can help me out.
In my current project, we have a set of cards like playing cards. They will only ever be seen one at a time. We want a character to appear above the card. The same character will appear above all cards. We want different animations to trigger on that same character based off each card. Can I set this up while only using 1 ImageTarget? If so, how?
Hello dshipley,
Hello dshipley,
If you need different images to trigger different animations, you'll need to have multiple Image Targets. You can keep all of these image targets in a single dataset however.
Thanks,
So this would mean that I
So this would mean that I would have about 100 different image target prefabs each with their own model that gets displayed when detected?
You definitely do not need to
You definitely do not need to have each prefab have their own instance of the model. Doing something similar to what you suggest would work just fine. Have the model exist in the scene and reparent it as the image target is detected or even just snap it to the position of the image target.
