Problem compiling in Windows 10 and visual studio

March 17, 2019 - 2:15pm #1

Hi!

I'm trying to develop a simple application on a windows 10 desktop computer. I export an UWP solution form unity and compile it width visual studio 2017.

https://blogs.windows.com/buildingapps/2016/10/12/how-to-develop-augmented-reality-apps-with-vuforia-for-windows-10/#om4WrsBhgs8u87hs.97

While debugging there is no problem, but when I attempt to execute the .exe file the system gives me 3 errors related with these libreries:

VCRUNTIME140D_APP.dll

MSVCP140D_APP.dll

vccorlib140d_app.dll

The system can't find them.

Does know someone how to create applications in windows 10 with Vuforia and Unity avoiding these problems?

Thanks!

Hi,

These dlls are found in new windows 10 SDK

<installation dir>\Microsoft Visual Studio\2019\Professional\VC\Redist\MSVC\14.26.28720\debug_nonredist\x64\Microsoft.VC142.DebugCRT

Change the names of the following dlls to _app.dll

say example: -

msvcp140_1d.dll

to

msvcp140_1d_app.dll

likewise, whichever dll is required, change the name of the dll. it should work.

i had same issue with dll in my uwp app and i solved it this way. hope it helps

Hello,

Vuforia Engine SDK does not commercially support development for Windows desktop.

Thanks,
