Random placement and area scanning

Hello.

I'm interesting in feature to scan the area which camera sees to find a best place to place the object. Without any ImageTargets.

Something like on a video below:

Is it already done in vuforia?

How can i make similar things with vuforia?

Hello!

Sorry for some kind of necroposting, but i downloaded Unity3d 2017.3.0b5 where Vuforia 7 is already exists inside.

Now i need some guide about this ground feature or how to use everything new in vuforia 7. Can you, please, help me to find a suitable information?

Vuforia 7 and Ground Plane will be in the Unity 2017.3 beta. The current Unity beta build doesn't have it, but keep an eye on the beta releases and you'll be able to start playing with it.

Vuforia will be offering functionality similar to this with our upcoming Ground Plane feature. This feature will be in our next release, Vuforia 7. Keep an eye on https://developer.vuforia.com/ for more news to come.
