Unity 2020.1.5 Vuforia can not be found

September 15, 2020 - 1:22am #1

Getting this error:

error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Vuforia' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

This is a project that worked with Vuforia on older unity version.

Now I can't even find the package on Package Manager.

How can I solve this?

Thanks, Shefy

I have a similar issue where an old project no longer works when opening on a newer version of Unity, in this case 2021.3 silicon.

Hi,

The thing is I'm still getting the errors, and I don't see Vuforia configurations anywhere.

I get error like this.

Assets\Scripts\HotColdAR\ArEventHandler.cs(5,7): error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'Vuforia' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

Thanks.

Hi,

With the other 2 methods, you don't need to see it in the Package Manager.

It will be in the project. Could you please check your project? check to see if you have Vuforia configuration active? on mac: cmd+shift+v

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply.

None of the 3 methods worked.

I just can't see it in the package manager.

BTW - In the package manager thers is no filter for all packages.

And I tried to find in any of the other filters and it didn't work.

What else can I try?

Thanks, Shefy

Hi,

We updated our installation process.

The easiest way is to download the script available here: https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/vuforia-engine-package-hosting-for-unity.html and run it.

Please note that the Vuforia Engine SDK is big and depending on the internet speed, downloading it may take some time.

If this fails, please check out the other 2 options available.

Thank you.
