Very Important!!

If you want Vuforia to take advantage of ARCore for higher quality ground plane detection on Android, this guide misses a very important step.

You should also disable *Multithreaded Rendering checkbox in the Build Settings or no plane detection will happen at all.

Hello,

In principle, we don't agree with your recommendation. The Vuforia Ground Plane sample uses multithreaded rendering, and has been tested on many devices for compatibility and performance.

If the device is supported by ARCore, or is listed on Vuforia Engine support devices page, the Ground Plane feature should work on that device with multithreaded rendering enabled. If you've found otherwise, please provide:

  • The Vuforia Engine SDK version
  • The Unity Editor version
  • The OS version and model name of the device you're testing
