Using multiple image target to locate an object

June 21, 2021 - 11:22pm #1

Hi, I am currently doing studies on image target, and I found that though your product is equipped with the function of multi target, the function can only be used to create a single image corresponding to one individual object, and is not able to make multiple images corresponding to a certain object. The function of creating multiple images corresponding to one certain object is like that of cuboid target, but I want the targeted images can be dispersed in every corner of the space, instead of assembling like a cube. So, how may I achieve this? If the above-mentioned function can make it, then can each of the images be located respectively? For instance, if the camera only captures one image, then that image can be used to locate the object. But when the camera captures two or more images, then each of these images will be taken into account, synthasized, and will generate the location of the object. Is it possible for me to do this? If yes, then how? Thank you for your kind reply.

Using multiple image target to locate an object

Thank you for your kind reply. But I could have not expressed myself clearly enough, so I would like to depict my question with a graph. Figure 1. shows that I enter a room where there are six image targets inside, but my camera can only capture Image 1-4. However, the function of image target is able to locate and show the object. Then, when I move forward as shown in Figure 2, my camera can only capture image 3-6, but the function of image target can still locate and show the exact object. And as shown in Figure 3, when I adjust the angle of the camera, it can only capture Image 1 and 3, so the function of image target utilizes the two images to locate and show the object. So what should I do to achieve these goals? Thank you for your time.(PS:The objects in the three figures are the same.)

Using multiple image target to locate an object

Hi,

I am not sure I understand your use-case correctly. If you want to first the user to find 3 image targets and only after that to show the Augmentation this would be achievable. We provide the option OnTrackingFound() for each individual Image Target. So, when the user scans an image, there is a visual que that the first image has been found and he needs to move the next one, etc. Afterwards once all images have been scanned, the augmentation is triggered.

Please let me know if this covers your use-case.

Thank you.
