I'm just starting my first project wanting to display a video attached to a target. I've got the video working but not getting any sound playing with the video on my Android device. I've tried a couple different videos with the same results. I've been searching the forum for anything that might help, but haven't found anything yet.
My project consist of:
ARCamera |
Video Player |
Image Target |
Quad |
The Video Player has the Video Clip set to the video asset that was imported in. (I've also tried turning on the "Override for Android, and the Transcode checkboxes on the video asset). The "Import Audio" is checked on also on the video asset.
I've set the Render Mode to "Material Override" and set the Quad item as the Renderer.
Audio Output Mode is left as the default "Direct" (don't know how to do the Audio Source yet.)
When I run the app on my Android device, it finds the target and will display the video playing on it, but I can't get any sound to play with it.
Am I missing anything in trying to get this to work?
I would appreciate any help.
John,
Hello John,
Hello John,
I'd recommend looking over our Core Samples. The Image Target scene has an example of using the Video Player component.
Thanks,

I had the same issue because
I had the same issue because iOS supported the Direct audio flag but Android didn't (on my test BQ at least). For android I made it work by doing this:
