Both UnitySetup-Vuforia-AR-Support-for-Editor-2017.3.1f1.pkg and it's earlier version UnitySetup-Vuforia-AR-Support-for-Editor-2017.3.0p4.pkg fail to install on Mac (for U 2017.3.1f1 and 2017.3.0p4 respectively). I have a message just saing that an "unknown error" caused the installation to be unsuccessful.
Are there solutions to this bug? A GitHub account with extracted contents, maybe?
Thanks
Hello mandi666,
Hello mandi666,
Can you confirm that Vuforia isn't already installed by navigating to the Player Settings -> XR Settings within Unity? Could you also share a screenshot of the error you are seeing.
Thanks,

Hi,
Hi,
got same problem (U 2017.3.1f1) on Mac. My Unity installation is not in the default "Unity" folder under applications. The installation procedure for the vuforia support does not let me choose the installation folder. Maybe that causes trouble?
If you're on Mac and are
If you're on Mac and are installing Vuforia after having re-named the folder Unity is in, you'll need to switch it back to be called "Unity." Unity on Mac assumes that it is installed in that folder regardless of where you have moved it.
I've said this on the Unity
I've said this on the Unity forums too, but might want to allow users access to install location with your package. Especially with so many people using the Unity Hub to manage installations now.
Hello,
Hello,
Thanks for the feedback. I've confirmed with our development team that this is a limitation of the installer on Mac using Unity's standard installer scripts. The development team is aware of this limitation and investigating methods to resolve the issue.
