I have recently taken over a file in Unity that uses Vuforia. There were issues with exporting the program and after two days of working I found the following errors in my console log: "error CS1704: An assembly with the same name `Vuforia.UnityExtensions.Editor' has already been imported. Consider removing one of the references or sign the assembly C:/Unity 2017/Editor/Data/PlaybackEngines/VuforiaSupport/Managed/Editor/Vuforia.UnityExtensions.Editor.dll (Location of the symbol related to previous error) Assets/Vuforia/Editor/Scripts/Vuforia.UnityExtensions.Editor.dll (Location of the symbol related to previous error)
error CS1704: An assembly with the same name `Vuforia.UnityExtensions' has already been imported. Consider removing one of the references or sign the assembly C:/Unity 2017/Editor/Data/PlaybackEngines/VuforiaSupport/Managed/Runtime/Vuforia.UnityExtensions.dll (Location of the symbol related to previous error) Assets/Vuforia/Scripts/Internal/Vuforia.UnityExtensions.dll (Location of the symbol related to previous error)
Compilation failed: 2 error(s), 0 warnings"
I have tried removing each dll file individually, resulting in an error that the other one still exists therefore the error still exists. When I remove both dll files i get 120 errors saying that my scene is looking for objects/scripts that are no longer there because it cannot find the assembly.
So i am stuck with two Vuforia assembly's that unity says are duplicates, but when i remove them unity complains that they do not exist. Could it be that I am missing yet another dll i need to delete or something? Things I have tried: Re-installing Unity, Re-importing Vuforia, I have tried Vuforia in a blank file what works. Anyone know how to solve this issue?
I'm currently having the same
I'm currently having the same (I think) problem. How did you resolve this?
