Webcam not working in playback

I am new to Unity and Vuforia and have been following basic tutorials to learn the programs. I completed a project and attempted to play, however, I just get a black screen. I am using a Mac, however, I have partitioned a Windows drive and have been running it there. I ensured the camera works by itself and have the most up-to-date versions for both programs. In looking at the configuration settings, it says it cannot find the profile for my camera so I viewed the .xml document as suggested. My camera is listed as "FaceTime Camera HD" and the profile includes "(Built in)". I attempted to delete that part in the document, however, I keep getting an error message telling me I cannot make changes to this file. I have checked all the computer settings. I'm listed as admin and attempted to change it from a Read-only, however, it will not save the changes.

Is there an alternative way to make this change? Is there a different way to change it?
