We tested a couple of the latest 4.0.103 Unity sample apps with Unity 4.6.3 and iOS 8.1.3 on an iPhone 6 Plus and it worked. Could you try again with the 4.0.103 samples that were released today?

to reproduce I did the following:

create clean empty app

import vuforia 4.0 beta

import target image asset

create licence key

add ARCamera prefab an add licence key and activate dataset

add imagetarget and select dataset and image target

add 3D cube to imagetarget

switch build to IOS

set player settings

export ot Xcode

run from Xcode on iPad all is ok and perfect

run from Xcode on iPhone 6 plus and get black screen, no camera view

I'm using Unity 4.6.3 Pro and IOS 8.1.3

the thread you refer to was about a more general issue with black screen, while in your case this seems to be specific to iPhone 6 Plus:


could you specify the following:

- is the iPhone 6+ black camera showing only when using a specific version (e.g. Unity 4.6.3)? or the Unity version does not matter ?

- is it happening with a Vuforia sample or a custom app ?

- is it reproducible with a simple setup that only includes an empty scene with AR Camera (and optionally an Image Target or another basic Vuforia prefab) ?

- are you sure you have not denied the camera access at any point in time while testing the app ? (I assume the iPhone 6+ is running on iOS 8.1) ... if in doubt, you could check that the camera access is actually enabled in the device settings, under Privacy > Camera > Your App Name (if not, then use the Switch to enable it)
