Good Evening,
we're trying to optimize a makeready for a CNC-Machine via Unity for a HoloLens for a studying-project. Therefore we need to place our model as exactly as possible. We're using one image marker (barcode) for the positioning.
So i just have some "little questions" concerning the optimization of precision. I have not really found anything concerning that topic in the net.
The questions would be the following:
- Can we use more than one image marker (maybe 4) to center the component of the makeready in the middle of the 4 markers?
- Does the use of more than one image marker for one target optimize the precision?
- Which marker type (Multi-marker / single image marker / object) gives the best values of precision?
It would be nice if anyone could help me.
Thank you very much for your effort!
Best Regards
From experience, I'm gonna guess that multi marker with as many makers possible that are spread out as much as you can while still being visible in the scene would give you the best precision. I don't have any hard evidence to back this up though.
