QCAR initialization failed on Unity

Hello! I am trying to get started with AR using vuforia and unity3D.

I am running on a MacOS 10.10.1.

I have started with this file:

ImageTargets-4-0-105.unitypackage

from vuforia-samples-core-android-ios-unity-4-0-105.zip at vuforia website.

 

I am also using Unity3D, version 5.0.1f1 Personal.

I am not sure if I am doing it right however I tried to see some tutorials on youtube( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFFC_7umd_U), and reading the forums, but everything seems to be writting 3 years ago. I am not even aware if this library/unity extension is working nowadays.

When I hit play on the sample scene, or whatever, I got the following output with several warnings and 2 erros:

Error #1
QCAR initialization failed
UnityEngine.Debug:LogError(Object)
Vuforia.QCARAbstractBehaviour:Start()

Error #2
QCAR initialization failed: INIT_ERROR
UnityEngine.Debug:LogError(Object)
SampleInitErrorHandler:SetErrorCode(InitError) (at Assets/Common/UIFramework/SampleInitErrorHandler.cs:140)
SceneViewManager:OnQCARInitializationError(InitError) (at Assets/Common/UIFramework/SceneViewManager.cs:79)
Vuforia.QCARAbstractBehaviour:Start()
 
Dispite the fact I didnt change any directory, the warnings are mostly about trackable texture lost.

Any help available please?

You should use the ARMv7 option. Also, can you re-state what error you are receiving and which device/os you are compiling to?

I've the same problem with unity3d 4.6.5 and vuforia 4.6.3 and compiled for Android ARMv7 +  x86 (the problem is the same with build only ARMv7) . Some suggestion?

Thank you so much for your support. Please forgive my misunderstandings. My intention was to use Vuforia on a PC, and somehow I just skipped this option. Now my unity3D is crashing as I hit the play button to run the scene. But then, its another issue.

Currently Vuforia only supports Android and iOS platforms. You can create a no-cost app key in the License Manager.

I see that you have a key for digital eyewear in your account, but none for mobile. For 4.0.105 sample you will need a regular mobile key.
