Activate/Deactivate "Track Device Pose" by script

February 25, 2019 - 11:29am #1

Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a Vuforia app with 2 scenes:

- Scene One: which requires the use of a positional tracker ("Track Device Pose" should be checked in Vuforia Configuration).

- Scene Two: which requires the "Track Device Pose" to be unchecked in Vuforia Configuration.

I need to switch this flag depending on the scene i'm in using a C# script but Vuforia doesn't seem to have an open API for this sort of thing.

Any idea how to go about this?

Activate/Deactivate "Track Device Pose" by script

Hello there,

I used this script but it did not disable my device tracker. I wrote a script which has that line in start(). And put it to AR camera as a component.

Unity 2019.2.8f1

Vuforia 9.0.12

Btw I am trying to disable it because I have two scenes. First one using cloud recognition and second one uses ground plane detection. I can't stop or pause my videos when tracking lost in my first scene because of device tracker. Maybe you can offer another solution for that issue.

Have a nice day at work,

Ahmet.

Hi,

This should be achievable by below script:

var pdt = TrackerManager.Instance.GetTracker<PositionalDeviceTracker>();

pdt.Stop();

To start it again, use the Start() method.

Thank you.
