Hi!
In my project I am using VuMarks. I know that the VuMark's y-axis (as defined in the picture at the end of this article: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/How-To-Use-the-Trackable-Base-Class.html) will always be pointing in the opposite direction of the gravity vector (i.e. it is mounted flatly on a wall...).
So I had the idea to use my device's gyroscope - which delivers very accurate data - and adjust my scene's orientation. Is that possible?
I've noticed that I can't just override the ARCamera's transform with another component, because that results in completely erratic behaviour. But I also didn't find any interface in the API to apply transformations to the internal coordinate system.
Does anyone have experience with this? I'm thankful for any input!
I just realized that it is
I just realized that it is actually possible to override the camera's transform quite easily. But I'd pretty much have to rewrite the whole Vuforia API to figure out the proper new values, so I'd be happy about an easier approach...
