increase or decrease the light of the AR Camera feed based on the current lighting conditions

Hi!

I want to increase or decrease the light of the AR Camera feed based on the current lighting conditions. Deploying to IOS and Android.

The goal is to be able to detect markers when the light is too dark or too bright. I am using very small markers 1inch x 1inch so the camera is very close to the marker - just a few inches.

I have read through: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/Advanced-Camera-API

And it says "exposure compensation" values are only available for Android.

Maybe I am missing something here b/c I can't imagine Vuforia doesn't have the capability to detect markers except for in very very limited lighting conditions. They take exclusive access to the camera so I am not sure how to move forward here. I have implemented a torch for dark lighting but this isn't ideal.

Thank you in advance for any help on this issue.

Best - Katie
