I'm having a problem where by markers get detected ok, but the axis seems to wobble by 45 degrees. I've attached a picture of the issue. The yellow lines are part of a cube, but as you can see it's tilted. Other times it is recognized fine. Is there anything I can do to make this work more reliably?

The recommended minimum target size is 12cm in width, but there are steps you can take to improve detection and tracking of small targets.
In general, you'll get the best performance by scanning at a maximum range of 10x you target width (so in your case 18cm). Could you try scanning closer to your targets and see if the wobble goes away (or at least diminishes)?
Lighting is another potential issue. I noticed in your screenshot there is a direct light hitting very close to the target you are seeing the issue on. Try moving the target away from this direct lighting and see if you get better detection on it.
