Updating gameobject of a trackable behaviour

I am running a script to update the gameobject of a trackable behaviour based on conditional statement by using

myGameObject.transform.parent = myTrackableBehaviour.transform;

But this clones many 'myGameObject' under myTrackableBehaviour but I want only one to be updated every time its being run in void Update(). How can I achieve it?
