Looking for someone with a good understanding of Unity 3.5, strong Unity scripting skills and specifically scripting experience in conjunction with the Vuforia Augmented Reality solution from Qualcomm. The project is built using Unity 3.5.6 Pro version to be deployed initially on iOS devices (Pro or Basic) and later to Android (Pro or Basic)
The main requirement is to build a straightforward multilevel radial style menu system that provides a clean, unobtrusive and attractive interface to perform the following:-
- Swap out one 3D object attached to an Image target for another
- Ability to manoeuvre the 3D object in relation to the image target
- Change colour/textured component of a 3D object
- Adjust settings of directional lighting, such as intensity, colour
Perform a simple transformation for the selected 3D object such as a rotate
A splash screen is also required that will appear when the project is started with a few simple instruction that can be dismissed by the user once they are ready to begin. A small menu button should then be displayed on screen which once pressed 'pops' up the first level of the radial menu.
All resulting script should be easy to modify and follow as future amendments will be made in house.
This solution is required for a client simulation rather than a game and so requires a professional look and feel
We will provide a sample Unity project containing everything required along with a spec for how the menu should look and the options for it to contain.
The candidate will ideally be local as more scripting work is likely in the future and the ability to meet and discuss projects would be a great advantage but overall skills are more important that location. Samples or evidence of similar work is required and we estimate the work to take around 1 day and needs to be completed by 5pm (UK time) Friday 7th December, all materials required for the project will be made available no later than 9am (UK time) Wednesday 5th December.
