Can't upload svg marker
I have the same problem. I attached my Illustrator Verification passed image. Can someone from Vuforia please take a look and help me with my Vumark design?

Hello,
The SVG files packaged with the 6.0 Vuforia samples are individual marker instances. These are not the same as the VuMark template file that is uploaded to the Target Manager and from which instance are generated.
Example SVG files that can be uploaded to the target manager are packaged with the VuMark Designer:

Thanks, Dave

Hello,
I'm having the same issue when trying to upload the SVG files provided in vuforia-samples-6-0-112 to my own database.
Since these Vumarks are the ones provided by Vuforia I would assume that the problem is not in their design, unless the validator bans the usage of these images on purpose. Is there any restriction in this regard? Otherwise there must be some other problem with the target manager.

Just curious, are you able to remove the svg file you uploaded with the failed status from your Vumark Target library?
Yes, you can now remove failed VuMarks from your database in Target Manager. If you have multiple failed VuMarks along with successful VuMarks, you can select all and then click Delete and only the failed VuMarks will be removed.

see Section 8.1 "Troubleshooting VuMark creation/detection fails"
Could you please share the link for the above section, can't seem to find it.
[edit]
never mind, found it.
The process of creating the VuMark is hard, tedious and requires some design skills.
I suggest an automated stand alone Application to simplify the creation proccess .

Having the same issues. Just curious, are you able to remove the svg file you uploaded with the failed status from your Vumark Target library? Usually you can remove the file by clicking the link on the file name, but there is no option for this.
Thanks.
Additional options for managing the VuMarks in the database are coming.

The AI scripts currently validate a lot of the required criteria for VuMarks, but due to the large variety of ways to design options in Illustrator, sometimes you may get a passing status in AI while the SVG will fail compilation in the Target Manager. It is very important to read the VuMark Design Guide thoroughly and we've tried to capture some of the exception cases there as well. In particular see Section 8.1 "Troubleshooting VuMark creation/detection fails" for additional things to watch out for in your designs.
The Vumark creation process is currently a mess. As I said in my previous post, it uploaded my large Vumark after verification passed, but it set the status to failed. I made another 5 character small Vumark and this one passed both the verification and the status turned to Active. But it seems that minor things in the Illustrator which matter very much are not in the tutorials. For example I didn't rearrange the layers in my Vumark design and after generating the Vumark PNG it came out full black no matter the character code. I then figured out that the problem was that the generator is listening to the layer stack from Illustrator and since my border is a filled black rectangle and it is higher on the stack than the dark and bright elements, it just painted black over everything. These things should be explained in the tutorial. I spent a very large amount of time figuring these out, especially because I never worked on anything in the Illustrator before.
Also I should be able to delete Active Vumarks from the database, not just Failed ones.
