I can't get the origin locator to work but maybe I'm misunderstanding how to work with it.
I can see the circle but I can't move it. I thought I could select it and move it to the desired position but it seems to be an unselectable object.
Does this mean I need to move the whole VuMark relative to the origin locator rather than the origin locator relative to the VuMark?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Duh. It's a guide. So hit alt-command-; (on MacOSX at least) to unlock the guide and you can move it.
And then to think I have 25+ years experience in Illustrator. I wish Illustrator newbies a lot of strength designing their own VuMarks.
