Tracking Multiple VuMark Instances Simultaneously

August 4, 2017 - 4:00pm #1

Hey! I'm worried this is going to get locked immediately or unanswered, but I've been searching the documentation, pouring through the forum, I've watched every VuMark video available, downloaded and run all the samples.

Can somebody please tell me if it's possible to track multiple VuMark instances at the same time? Not different VuMarks like the Chateau or MortonTuxedos at the same time. Like, tracking 3 instances of the MortonTuxedos VuMark at the same time, all on screen at once. I want to be able to view two instances with unique IDs of the same pre-built VuMark, and track both of these unique instances at the same time. Just like we do with image targets. The sample Unity app only seems to be able to track one VuMark instance at a time.

Tracking Multiple VuMark Instances Simultaneously

Hello,

I am running into the same problem with Vuforia on Unity. However, setting the max simultaneous tracked images higher is not working. In my scene I have a VuMark with 2 models, each model corresponds to a different VuMark ID. This does work if I only have 1 VuMark in the scene (each ID shows his own model). When I have both VuMarks in from of the camera, both markers show both models. After that, they each keep showing both models, even if it is the only marker being detected. How can I prevent this?

All help is appreciated :)

Hello quotidianmusic,

This is possible. In the Vuforia Configuration there is a field called "Max Simultaneous Tracked Images," set this field to a value greater than one and you are good to go. This is the same field to modify if you want to track multiple Image Targets simultaneously.

Thanks,
