VuMark Export Script Not Working

Could someone clarify what this message means and provide any suggestions for solving the problem?

"This document was not created with VuMark-Setup script!"

Basically nothing is exporting using the export script - even the files I know should work, such as the example files that Vuforia provides. It keeps thinking the document hasn't been set up with the setup script, even though I definitely am.

 

Any suggestions?

I am experiencing the same issue, also on the downloaded examples. 

 

I can open Chateau.ai and MortonTuxedos.ai. I can run Files > Scripts > VuMark-Verify, and they verify.  But when I run File > Scripts > VuMark-Export, it displays the error "This document was not created with VuMark-Setup script!".  It seems to get as far as making the file, porting the graphic elements over, and crashes out right after the text / description elements are placed in the file.

I am using Adobe Illustrator 2018, fully up to date.  Please advise; this is a blocker for a client project.

I have the same problem, every thing runs normal until I try to use vumark-export script, I use MortonTuxedos and Chateau both have the same problem, could any one Help here

So me again :)

I was able to solve the problem by using Illustrator 2020 (v.24.3) instead of 2021 (v.25.3.1)

try to install the older version of Illustrator

Had the same problem, was trying with AI 2021 (v25.4.1). Was not able to export, same error message.

Installed older version (AI 2020, v24.3) and was able to open the created file and successfully export.

So FIRST Robotics is using Vuforia and this STILL is not fixed as of 10/25/2022. Do we really have to keep going back to a 2020 version of Illustrator? I have the same problems as everyone else in this thread, the VuMark-Export.jsx script, when executed says "This document was not created with VuMark-Setup script!", and it was. I get this for both of the examples and my one VuMark I created.

Right now (at least I don't have any idea how) it's impossible to download  AI versions older than 26.0 which makes it impossible to prepare VuMarks in any available legal version of AI.

Is there any way to install older versions ?

From Adobe:

Subscription apps: Adobe provides installers for only our current apps and the previous major version of each. For more information, see Adobe software support guidelines.

If PTC  no longer support these VuMark Adobe Illustrator Scripts, and they have them available on their tools/downloads, then could they PLEASE open source them so one of us could fix them? Really, this is quite a ridiculous situation and very frustrating when we have a bunch of excited middle schoolers, anxious to use these tools, exposed to this shoddy support, leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth.
