VuMark won't add to Target Manager

January 20, 2017 - 10:45am #1

Anyone else found the .AI scripts it to be inconsistent and are seemingly unpredictable - based on experiencing varying results from the same .AI file at different times!? Possibly the flakiest feature to date - and at the expense Frame Markers :(

We've muddled along with some trial and error, and finally created a fully verified VuMark, then successfully used the "Export" to .SVG function (more luck than judgement based on using the same original file on a different day!?).

Its all going swimmingly. VuMark designed and verified - hard part over. Or is it?

The issue:

Off we go to our Vuforia Dev portal to upload our freshly exported VuMark.svg -> Target Manager -> "Add database" (in the usual way - selecting 'VuMark' from the list) -> "Add target".

Out of desperation, we've now created new Vumark versions using both 'string' and 'numeric'. Changed the ID length and "elements required" - every which way to get Target Manager to accept the upload, but its not having it - "Failed" without any explanation or code.

Can anyone help - surely it shouldn't be this hard?!

Thanks guys!

Hi - I just noticed on my approved vumark license email that we are only allowed one vumark template per license.  I see on your sample that you are using 5 templates. Maybe that is the problem.  I have two licenses one with 4 templates and the other with 2 templates.  And I still cannot figure out how to get them to read and display an AR experience.

Maybe that is the problem?
