Cloud Reco Samples - Reco Count

April 3, 2014 - 1:16am #1

The Cloud Recognition samples of the SDK release 2.8.7 (native samples version 2.8.8, Unity samples version 2.8.9) show how to start a Cloud search for target recogniton, using a sample DB.

In particular, the samples make use of the TargetFinde::start() API, by which the sample will enter a search mode where your Cloud Database is scanned for a possible target match. See also these pages for more details on Cloud Reco API usage:

Cloud Reco - Using Target Metadata

May 6, 2013 - 3:50am #1

This article highlights the meaning and usage best practices for Cloud Targets Metadata.

In Vuforia, every Cloud Image Target has an associated Metadata; a target metadata is nothing else than a custom (user-defined) string, i.e. a blob of text that you can fill with any text you like.

Therefore, you can use the metadata just as a way to contain some information about the target, that your application will be able to process using some custom logic.

November 25, 2020 - 10:31am #1

Hello there!

Unity 2019.4.11f1

Vuforia 9.5.4

I have a Cloud project that used to work fine until the last iOS release, so I decided to upgrade my Unity version (2019.2.21 -> 2019.4.11) and my Vuforia Version (8.3.4 -> 9.5.4) and everything was ok.

Cloud Recognition doesn't work in Unity

October 14, 2020 - 10:35am #1

I'm currently working on a Unity project using Image Targets with Cloud Recognition in one scene and Ground Plane in another scene, and I'm having problems with Cloud Recognition because it's simply doesn't work, no errors, no warnings. I'm using Unity 2019.4.10f1 and Vuforia 9.4.6. And the problem is just the cloud reco, because I tried with image targets using a local database and it works perfectly... I've checked my configuration over and over and I can't find anything wrong, maybe it's something with Vuforia?

Reducing application size

October 6, 2020 - 4:50am #1

Hi, we created a mobile application based on Unity and Vuforia with AR, but it weighs too much because of the images that are shown in augmented reality. How to connect to the application a cloud so that it works like a Google map, where you need to either download cities or have an Internet connection?

We have a $99 subscription to Vuforia, where there is a cloud, but it only concerns tags and will not help us.

Build Cloud Recognition

August 27, 2020 - 9:20am #1

hello everyone, currently I have problems creating augmented reality applications with cloud recognition, the problem I face is understanding step by step to build the application. even though there is documentation regarding cloud recognition but can't explain in detail how to implement it, is there a YouTube link that I can learn to make the application?
