RESOLVED: Known issue with 9.7 Vuforia Object Scanner app

UPDATE: We have reverted the version of the Vuforia Object Scanner app available for download on the Vuforia Developer Portal to 9.6.3.

We will look to revisit and update this app in our next commercial release to remove the warnings in this version. Please post any issues to our forums.

Printing a large format version of the Vuforia Object Scanner target

There have been infrequent requests on the forums for the ability to print the Vuforia Object Scanner target to sizes larger than the currently recommended maximum printable size of A3 with the 5.5.11 version of the tool.

Attached are updated versions of the Object Scanner target. These PDFs are scalable as they contain a vectorized image, instead of a bitmap. This means you can now print it to any scale without degradation.

How to get Y-rotation angle of the image target ?

I have an image target of Books and I would like to get in Unity the Y-rotation in angle (degree) of that marker, for example in image 1 the books are correctly in vertical (like +- 0 degree) and in image 2 the books are a little tilted (between 35-60 degree). please how can I get this info ?

3D object lags when moving camera

I have been using Vufuria for image detection for 3D objects. When the camera detects the image, the 3D object appears but it feel laggy when I move the camera (mobile Android). It feels like the app is only recalculating and repositioning the object every 0.5 secs. 

However, when the camera is static, and the image target is moved around, the 3D object seems to move along the image closely. 

Is there any setting that can fix this? 

I have opted for MODE_OPTIMIZE_SPEED in the configuration.

Points are collected, but not identified

Using vuforia's 3D object recognition, the recognition object is a white model. The white plastic model with steel frame in the steel plant uses scanner software to collect points, which is about 340. But when using test, the scanning model does not appear green recognition block. If the model is not changed, is there any other way to solve it, or is there any problem

Image Target read from not a camera

First of all, I think it is better to start with my goal project. I plan to create an AR scene from the camera of a Robot, controlled by ROS, where the robot's camera has to read a QR (image target) and where a 3D object will appear. Until now, I have integrated ROS# as the nexus between the ROS (established on a Linux PC) and the Unity Scene (on a Windows PC). Right now, I get a satisfactory integration of the ROS camera into a Panel (Gameobject). My problem is reading the image target from this Panel (or "camera") as the Vuforia Behavo¡iour is integrated into the AR Camera.

Object Recognition Not Working with 3D objects

I'm new to Vuforia. 

I need to test Object Recognition through .OD scan using my phone camera. I've followed the guide on the Vuforia Documentations and also many youtube videos but nothing seems to work.

In particular when I use 2d image I can easily detect object and adding some Augmented Reality object in the scene but when it comes the time to use .OD scan, nothing seems to work and the object is not recognize anymore.

Best method to recognize a face

I am looking for advice on the best way to track a face for a research project.  Model targets work for object recognition of the whole face when scanned with a 3d scanner and trained on that scan.  But we would like tracking to work when the mouth and nose are obscured.  

I have also tried using image targets with 3 QR codes placed on the forehead and cheeks which seems to not work as well as the model target.
