Printing a large format version of the Vuforia Object Scanner target

September 26, 2017 - 5:34am #1

There have been infrequent requests on the forums for the ability to print the Vuforia Object Scanner target to sizes larger than the currently recommended maximum printable size of A3 with the 5.5.11 version of the tool.

Attached are updated versions of the Object Scanner target. These PDFs are scalable as they contain a vectorized image, instead of a bitmap. This means you can now print it to any scale without degradation.

Scanned object unity

August 15, 2019 - 12:45am #1

I'm experiencing issue with 3D scanned object. When I finish scanning object with Vuforia app and test scanned object everything works fine. When I finish process for Unity and get into Unity no camera can detect that object (web cam, mac cam, phone cam...)

I'm using Unity 2019.2.0.f.1, vuforia 8.3.8

Any help or suggestion?

Thank you in advance.

Stick Augmented Content When Detected

August 11, 2019 - 11:01pm #1

I am using Object detection feature of Vuforia to detect my CPU box. Once the box is detected, I want to place some AR content on it. For example, I want to show arrow call-outs from different ports of the CPU. Is there any way to stick the call-outs to certain place so that even when the camera position is changed, the callouts will remain to the same position where it was before. Or is there any way to re-size automatically the AR content (eg. arrows) when the phone is zoomed in or out. Please help me to achieve this case.

Thanks & Regards,

Which is more robust, model or multi target tracking?

July 19, 2019 - 6:53pm #1

I'm looking to design a tracking object that is to remain stationary but able to be viewed at different angles. Which is the more robust tracking method, the use of a model target or a multi-target? My initial inclination was to design a sophisticated multi-target using a polyhedron and multiple QR codes. This looks non-trivial, however, and so the multi-target would likely be a cuboid with multiple QR codes. Would this be more or less robust than some other shape that could be tracked as a model? Thanks!

Project Help Workflow Object Recognition

July 13, 2019 - 4:31am #1

I have done a lot of research but I think it is time to call in the experts to give me the best workflow to complete this.

I am going to give a general idea of what i want to achieve and where i am at.

My idea is to use augmented reality as an app for IOS, the concept is to have for example a generic "Printer" in real life, and when the app sees the printer, a 3D Human model appears on the screen doing some form of animation with a 3D model of a printer (or other object 'unimportant').

First Time Build Issues

July 11, 2019 - 2:19am #1

I've been working on my first AR app, been trying to setup an object target with no success.
Tried all tutorials I could find and still didn't find a solution.
All tutorials use a game object prefab called 'object target' that I just can't find..
I am using unity 2019 and vuforia 8.3.
I've scanned the object using the vuforia scan app (test works fine), but when

Please help me find this missing piece..1

360 Model Targets Guide View Issue

July 8, 2019 - 12:48pm #1

Does the orientation have any kind of consideration when tracking an object?  I have mixed results so I'm not sure if the effort I'm taking when creating the guide view is worth it.  In the screen shots I'm including you can see the guide view I used to create the database for 360 recognition.  I have an object positioned with its most probable orientation when generating the model target.  As you can see in the screen shot the grid is above the object meaning it has been flipped upside down in the generator.

Vuforia Object Scanner not working

July 1, 2019 - 11:22am #1

Hello Team,

I want to use the vuforia object scanner feature for a personal project. It was mentioned on websites that the best phones are the Samsung which would create more feature points while scanning the objects. So, i got the new samsung S10+, despite having oneplus 3T which was able to scan the objects but not many feature points were being identified.

Extended Tracking on iOS

June 25, 2019 - 1:05am #1

Hello there, I'm facing a issue with iOS devices. Shortly the extended tracking on iOS devices never lose the tracking.

On Android devices instead if you shakes the device a little you can loose the contact with the target and that is for me the right behavior.

I have the same configuration for both systems iOS and Android

Unity 2018.3.9

Vuforia 8.0.10

Track Device Pose Active

Tracking Mode Positional

World Center Mode FIRST_TARGET

Could some one help me figure out how to solve this issue, I need iOS to behave as Android.

AR for static large objects

June 4, 2019 - 5:29am #1

Is there a way with Vuforia create an augmented experience of a very large objects (like real scale buildings in front of you)? That you can walk around (if you are in some open space, of course), seeing all of it details in real scale?

Current extended tracking seems like not enough - after moving camera 3-5m away from tracker object dissapears..
