Hi, I have a classic license, but now cannot see in license manager which features I can use with it.

 

how to remove the watermark with an old version of vuforia but a recent license key?

I am French so sorry for my approximate English.

I'm working on a project using version 8.0.10 of your SDK to be able to use selfie mode. Mode that you removed after this version of your SDK. This functionality is essential for the project of one of my clients. I am currently working under Unity version 2018.3.4 and I created a basic license on 02/01/2022 for the project.

I embedded the generated license key in Unity but I still have the watermark visible. I would like to be able to use the latest version of your SDK and a higher Unity version, but the selfie mode is an essential feature of the application for my client. People using the latest version of the SDK benefit from the removal of the watermark, but not people obliged to use an old version of your SDK (Version of the sdk impossible to obtain today in your archives)

How do I proceed to be able to remove the watermark?

You're still able to use your legacy license which does remove the watermark. The old legacy license does not expire and doesn't auto-renew.

No one responds from PTC support for almost a month

Hello, since tracking Area Target has apparently become a paid function, I need to purchase a PRO license. But when I tried to contact to provide a price, no one answered me for a month. I submitted a feedback form every week. And so far no one has contacted me. Could you please speed up this process?

Paid license but can't get rid of Vuforia Watermark

We've published a App using AR target frames and a paid license. The Vuforia watermark, Pan type basic, is still showing. How do we get rid of it? 

We added in the license key and it's still there or is there a build setting that needs to be checked? Cheers!

That's very odd. Can you elaborate on which features you're using from Vuforia Engine? Do you mean with "AR target frames" image targets?

Hi Patrick, we are using 3 image targets. It's a straight forward process whcih we have done many times and none of our other apps show the watermark. Only this last one we published. Ther eis nothing different only that the other apps were published last year and this one was published in Sept.

Have you tried creating a new project with v10.1.4 and see if the watermark is still present after adding the license key? Could you also test on the newest release v10.3.2?

HI Patrick, I was advised yesterday that the problem occured because of the switch to the free basic Vuforia license. That was a bit of a kick in the gut since we had paid for the license and have not had that issue resolved nor been told that the license we paid for was now free.

I'm sorry to hear that. There's sadly always going to be people left out on new licensing changes. Was this the first time you paid for a Basic license, or did you renew your license?

We are using 3 image targets and have other apps which are similar. The other apps are listed as "Legacy license" and don't have the watermark, but we have also updated other apps using 3-6 images are targets and they don't have the watermark either.

Licence confusion

Situation:

We need to update an app that was developed about 2 years ago using Vuforia engine 8.3.8.

The licence we used was not free, but i can't remember its exact name, in the licence backend it's listed as "Basic (legacy)"

We use image targets and VuMarks only.

 

Now i created a new Basic licence, and created new marker databases, and updated the licence key in the (Unity) app.

This works, but the app shows the Vuforia watermark.

 

Questions:

1) is the Basic licence free? According to https://www.ptc.com/en/products/vuforia/vuforia-engine/pricing it is.

But e.g. in this post https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/license-manager/i-cant-buy-basic-license it's talked about "buying a Basic licence".

2) Does the Basic version always show a watermark? There are some pages that state that the watermark is only displayed when using area or model targets. But our app and some posts in this forum say otherwise.

Hello,

Basic (Legacy) licenses will continue to work with newer versions of Engine SDK. Due to the updated licensing for Engine, legacy licenses will no longer be subject to subscription fees.

I want to ask I have application with 50 images targets and want to. Make it live on Playstorw and App store.. Which liscense will he good?? Will basic work for me or not?? Please guide me... If your start-up has under 10 million revenue per year you're able to use the basic license. 

I can't buy a basic license

We have developed an application on vuforia. We need a Basic license for the release. We are from Russia and cannot buy a license through the website, the payment does not pass. We wrote in https://vuforia.com/contact/pricinginqury but no one answered us. Help us with the purchase of a Basic license.

If you have a valid credit card type you should be able to buy a basic license, even if you're located in Russia. Can you elaborate on the issue?

Pro license for non commercial use

Hi,

I need to release an app for an art show that uses Advanced Model Targets. How do I get the pro license? This is very time sensitive as I have to release it to the app stores very very soon. Is there any way to get a pro license quickly? And also is it possible to pay month by month? I am an independent developer and the app is not being used as a product but only as a vehicle for an artwork. This is non commercial use.

Please is there anyway to achieve this? Thank you for all help!

Double BIlling in One Month

hi, I currently subscribe to Vuforia Cloud Services for several months. But why for this month (October 2021), I get a double bill. First, October 15 has made the payment and confirmed success. But in the same month (October 2021) another bill occurred on October 18, and fortunately the status failed because my cc limit was not sufficient. of course if the double payout was successful it would be a loss for me.

And every proof of payment is successful I always get info like this. "Thank you for the Mandiri Credit Card transaction with the final number XXXX8252 on 15-10-2021 17:09:21 at VUFORIA SERVICES BOS in the amount of USD198.00.

If you don't make a transaction, please call Mandiri call 14000".

and I got this on October 15, 2021, which means my October bill has been paid.

So please help, why is there a double bill, please reply.
