Update to Vuforia 7 Known Issues

Hello all,

We updated our known issues for Vuforia 7 to include a recently discovered issue related to checking for Ground Plane device compatibility. The issue involves unsupported devices incorrectly returning true when being checked for 6DoF support. This issue is being addressed in a Vuforia 7 patch that will be available in the next few weeks.

AR in a dark environment

The experience I want to create needs to be in a dark environment. However, when I turn off the lights vuforia loses the anchor and the previously placed object disappears. My question is, how can I make a ground plane experience in the dark? Or better yet...how can I make vuforia not wipe everything from the screen when it loses the anchor? I understand that it needs light to place an anchor, but can't I somehow tell vuforia to keep everything as it is if it loses it?

Avatars are still move and slide after placing them in AR World Unity - Vuforia?

I am currently working on an AR app, and I am facing the following issue: after placing avatar on the AR World, it still moves and slides on the Ground while am approaching to its place. why does that happen?

I am using unity 2018.3.0 and vuforia 8.1.7.

Supported device is not supported

I have some trouble with one of my project, when running it I get the message: "SmartTerrain cannot be initialized when Vuforia Fusion uses the vision-only provider"

I get the same error with the Vuforia Sample, when using the ground plane sample.

The device is a Samsung J5 SMJ530F, which is listed as supported both for Vuforia Ground Plane and Google ARKit.

It appears to be caused when getting the SmartTerrain which always return null.

I checked that my phone had the gyroscope, which it does.

Multiple Ground Plane AR

I want to ask if there is a way to put several difference object, not in the same time, on one Ground plane 

For Example:

I have Several Difference Icons. Every Icon is Connected to another 3D Object.

when I thouch one Icon it's connected Object will appear on the ground plane, when I touch the Next Icon it's 3d object will appear on the Gound plane

Ground Plane using Rigidbody and Collider

I have a problem about using Rigidbody and Collider in Ground Plane

I added rigid bodies and Collider to the model, which I intend to use for collision detection. But the results show that the rigid body and Collider I added have a large deviation, they are not in the original place. At present, I don't know how to solve it.

Hello, is there a native Android tutorial for Ground Plane feature, because all of the tutorials in here https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/features/environments/ground-plane-guide.html are IOS or Unity based.

Ground plane not working properly

I created a simple ground plane AR with unity. When I am moving my device around to place model, sometimes the ground plane stage disappears and doesn't work when tapped then won't come back until you restart the experience


Also is it possible to increase the scale of the ground plane stage?
