Keeping "Plane FInder" when switching scenes

Hello everyone,

 

I am trying to achieve the following: having a menu that when is clicked changes the scene. The new scene is a Ground Plane where the user can place a model. My issue is that I would like the user to be able to go back to the menu, pick another object but not having to wait again for the identification of the ground, considering it has been done a few moments ago. By reading the documentation, I think I might need to make use of Continued AR experiences. Unfortunately, I am not aware how to use it, as I cannot find any code examples. Could someone give me some help here?

Ground Plane Collider disable

Hi i working with ar car control, i do watch tutorial that i need to put ground plane stage a box collider. Because the car have a rigid body and box collider. The problem is when i try to parent the car to ground plane stage, and click play box collider set in ground plane disable. Can anyone help

I suggest adjusting the DefaultObserverEventHandler as it turns off all colliders when the target is lost (see attachment).

GroundPlane Message not supported

It runs normally on the PC,But it didn't work on the phone

Phone Model:"Redmi Note 8 Pro"

Unity version:"2019.4.33f1c1 And 2021.2.5f1c1"

Have you made sure to use a new Unity (2020.x or above) project and add the newest Core Samples? I suggest sharing your logs when running the samples on device.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro supports the Vuforia Engine Ground Plane feature via ARCore. Thus, ARCore support must be built into your app, and Google Play Services for AR must be installed on the device.

Object stays in the air, moves with camera movement

Hi, I am using Vufroia sdk 10.3.2. As I enlarge the dimensions of the object I integrated into the ground plane, the object rises a little from the ground.

Not only that, it is moving with the camera movement. So it doesn't stay fixed at the point I put it. How can i solve this problem????

Can you check if the issue persists when using the Ground Plane scene in the Core Samples?

I developed the project using the 'ground place' example in the core. When I try the 'Placement' feature, it moves with the movement of the camera as the scale of the object grows.

I have added the problem I want to tell as an attachment. Could you please suggest a solution?

Ground Plane doesnt work

I have make and published a project with vuforia 9.8.5 and everything worked fine.

But i lately created a new project with 10.3.2 but the ground plane doesn't work at all. I followed the tutorial from the site but nothing worked. The square cross hair just doesnt appear. 

Both projects are done in Unity 2020.3 with the same project settings.

Is there anything that has changed in 10.3 that needs the settings to be changed?

 

Object moving along with device.

I have gotten the basic ground plane functionality working in Unity as from vuforia guide link,

and can place an object on a targeted plane.

 

But when I place other object on the ground plane,  and then move around the object start moving forward along with device. See video here

How can I make the object remain stable with out moving ? We are on app release and need to solve this as soon as possible, so any help/ assistance will be appreciated. Thanks.

Only black screen appeared

Hello! 

I built an AR application with Unity and Vuforia a month ago. And the app run well for some days. 

But after about a month,

when I open the app, only black screen appeared.(I didn't edit anything. I just have used the app.)

 

 

So, I tried the reason and I found it. After ARCore update of my devices, it is not working. 

Vuforia Ground plane and new version of Android ARCore cause the problem.

How can I solve this problem? Please help me.

Ground Plane not Functioning in Samsung Galaxy S21

Hello, 

Just curious if anyone has had issues with getting ground plane tracking to function on their Galaxy S21 device. The ground plane is detected when using the webcam. Just when I build it out to the device nothing, not even the ground plane image is detected. I had an older device a Galaxy S8 and functioned perfectly fine on that device. 

 

Device OS: Android 11

Unity Version: 2019.4.12f1

Vuforia Version: 8.1.12

I would advise to upgrade to 10.x to see if that resolves the issue.

Hello Patrick, 

 

I had to download a newer version of Unity in order to use a Vuforia version 10.x. Unfortunately the ground plane is still not functioning. The Samsung Galaxy S21 is listed as a supported device.

Good to hear that you fixed it. Can you confirm that you did not see a black screen, but the ground plane was not tracking? Or was there also a black screen? 

Unity Vuforia Integrate native Android Ground plane not working

Hello, I made an AR APP  and its working ground plane . used for  Unity 2020.3.13f1 and Vuforia 9.8.5 . Unity build  to APK is working well(Redmi note 8 pro, Redmi note 10 pro both android version 11, and Samsung note 8 android version 9 all working )  . But Unity integrated a native  android app (Android studio) and built an APK to not work. Camera opened and sent me an error message " Unsupported device "((Redmi note 8 pro, Redmi note 10 pro had this message,  but  Samsung note 8 working) . I tried the Vuforia version up to 10.1 with no difference. How to fix it.
