Update to Vuforia 7 Known Issues

Hello all,


We updated our known issues for Vuforia 7 to include a recently discovered issue related to checking for Ground Plane device compatibility. The issue involves unsupported devices incorrectly returning true when being checked for 6DoF support. This issue is being addressed in a Vuforia 7 patch that will be available in the next few weeks.

2 Ground Plane Errors

Guys I started following Mathew Halberg's make in 6 minute augmented reality app

 . Im using unity 2018.3.0f 2 and Vuforia Engine v8.5.8

and im getting these following errors.

On screen in unity Play mode i can see my character and i can move him in the unity play mode

but when i complie the apk file n run it on my android i cant my character .

How remove backgroud camera

Hello to all. I'm working with Vuforia, Unity and the Moverio BT-350 viewer. The problem is that in addition to the virtual information, the video taken by the camera in the background also appears on the viewer's lens. Since the lenses are transparent, it would be nice if you could remove the video from the camera and leave only the virtual information. I searched on the internet but none of the solutions found work. Is there a way to remove the video from the camera in the background?

Plane Rotation Value in Unity

I would like to recreate an AR scene using Unity.

Currently I store an image from one or more frames of the ARCamera at the moment when a gameobject is placed on a ground plane.

I am then able to place a new gameobject in the center of that image. However, in order for that gameobject to appear as it did when the user positioned it in AR, I need to know the rotational value of the game-object when positioned. How can I access this information? It is not available within the Unity gameobject transform.

Does my xiaomi redmi 4x support ground plane?

I've found out that redmi 3s supports ground plane and, though my redmi 4x has slightly better specifications, it looks like my phone does not support ground plane.

I followed this guide to create ground plane application: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Solution/ground-plane-guide.html

P.S. image target application works fine

there is no error or anything, it just dont distinguish ground and i cant place objects

Making Ground Plane not Infinite in Unity

It seems that Ground Plane will hittest to basically infinity - is there a way to limit this?

Hi, I'm placing Plane Stage and Plane Finder on runtime, but I can't figure out how to set the script that will run OnAutomaticHitTest.

Cylinder target + ground plane

Hi There.

 

Is it possible to use Cylinder target in conjunction with Ground Plane?

I need to set the plane as soon as possible when the bottle is found, but I need the bottle to still be recognizable, cause I'll have thing attached to it and things attached to the ground.

 

Is it possible at all?
