Hello all,

We updated our known issues for Vuforia 7 to include a recently discovered issue related to checking for Ground Plane device compatibility. The issue involves unsupported devices incorrectly returning true when being checked for 6DoF support. This issue is being addressed in a Vuforia 7 patch that will be available in the next few weeks.

Is it possible to create a single version of an app with Ground Plane and Vuforia, and if a device doesn't support the ground plane it will only activate regular Vuforia and using targets/markers?


I want to make a version for Android and iOS, both containing Ground Plane and Vuforia with target.

ContentPositioningBehavior#CreateAnchorAndPlaceContent occurs "Could not create Anchor" error

in Vuforia core Sample's Ground Plane Scene the Error occures and I can't place the chair, need some information.
my device is Galaxy S8+ and self-made see-through device.
I made VuforiaConfoguration-Enable video background OFF, then got subject's error.
With background ON, there is no error.
Video background OFF is not supported with ground plane?

Im using Unity 2018.4.2f1 and Vuforia 8.3.8.

Samsung Tab4 + Ground plane

I use to work with Unity 2019.1.7f1 with Vuforia and my Samsung Tab4 (with core-1.4.0 [Plugins/Android]) and I saw the Ground Plane Very Well

Yesterday, I upgrade my Unity to 2019.1.10f1 and Vuforia 8.3.8, and I run the same app, there was no Ground Plane detection.


Please advise, It's Very Important to me that its continue to work on the Samsung Tab4

Vuforia + ARCore Ground plane error

I have successfully gotten ground plane detection working for an Android device with the help of this : https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/arcore-with-vuforia.html 

But, it's logging this error every frame : 'hit_test.cc:376 generic::internal: No point hit'. Is this an internal Vuforia Fusion bug or am I doing something wrong here?

AR in a dark environment

The experience I want to create needs to be in a dark environment. However, when I turn off the lights vuforia loses the anchor and the previously placed object disappears. My question is, how can I make a ground plane experience in the dark? Or better yet...how can I make vuforia not wipe everything from the screen when it loses the anchor? I understand that it needs light to place an anchor, but can't I somehow tell vuforia to keep everything as it is if it loses it?
