Vuforia Area Target Generator 9.8.8 fixes an issue with the tool failing during processing very large scans from E57 input data.

RESOLVED: Known issue with ATG and Matterport

Creating datasets with ATG fails with an Matterport error: "Received an invalid response..." or "Unable to connect to Matterport portal..."

Using Area Target and Image Target Simultaneously

I want use the Area Target and the Image Target functions simultaneously. So what I did is that I created two targets in my scene (one for the area target and the other for an image target)

However, when I build the app, one of the targets gets deleted automatically from the scene. I'm am not sure why that happens.

Track User's position in the Area Target

I am currently working on a tour app and I am trying to locate the user's position within the Area Target to display it on a minimap just like in this video (at 8:50) made by Vuforia to introduce Area Targets. 

For now, I have tried to display the AR Camera position on the minimap, which doesn't work quite well because the AR Camera position is relative to its initial position in Unity.

Does anyone has an idea on how I could proceed?

Display UI Element on defined Area in Area Target

I'm new to Vuforia, I would like to know that is it possible to display a UI Element (Button) when the camera enters to a predefined small area inside the area target? If yes, Please tell me how!

Target Clarity

I am currently using an iPad Pro with inbuild LiDAR to create area targets using the area target creator app. I was originally having no sucess, but now I am able to create scans uing the iPad. I have attatched an image of what the area target looks like below:

Area Target mesh collider

Hi, I have a problem with my object. I have area target. I added mesh collider to the area target and i want to have objects, which will be fallin and placing on the floor. I created cube and i added to this rigidbody. In play Unity Editor cube falling down and placing on the floor in area target, but when i'm teting it on device(ipad pro) i don't see cube, when i remove rigidbody and test one more time on device cube is visible. How can i add gravity to my object.

Overlapping Area Targets

Hi again,

We are testing out an application with two connected area targets. In our case, they aren't only connected but also overlapping in some places, because we wanted to see how Leica and Matterport scans differ in tracking performance.
