Vuforia Area Target Generator 9.8.8 fixes an issue with the tool failing during processing very large scans from E57 input data.

RESOLVED: Known issue with ATG and Matterport

Hi, 

Creating datasets with ATG fails with an Matterport error: "Received an invalid response..." or "Unable to connect to Matterport portal..."

What maximum size of Area Target can be created

Hi ,

Can anyone please help me with the maximum size of Area Target we can create using any scanner.

Say I want to use it for a large building of 25 floors , each floor area is more that 4000 sq ft. Is it possible to create area target for all 25 floors (4000 x 25 = 100000 sq ft )  ???

Area Target Blocking Light in Unity

I am using area targets in unity. 

The area target is a room with walls and a ceiling.

I find that if I place lights outside the walls they don't penetrate.

The area target itself obviously isn't visible.

 

How do I stop this?

Load Area Target from AssetBundle saved on server

Hi,

Can I download and activate area target during run-time on HoloLens1? My plan is to save the area targets as assetbundle on a server, the user can choose which area target to download and activate through virtual UI on HoloLens1. Could you provide some cases or codes? Thanks a lot!

Matterport vs Ipad

Will I see a significant increase in are target recognition if I upgraded from IPAD to Matterport for creating are targets?

The things I would hope for are

- Quicker recognition.

- Less jitter of AR objects once the target has been detected

Bug with 5 databases in a single project

Hi, 

I did 5 AreaTarget scans and i ended up creating 5 databases, each with 1 Area Target.

Question 1 - Whats the difference between Database and AreaTarget and is there a best practice?
