Hello, I am developing an app for outdoor use. The problem I have is the orientation of the AR camera. If we have as a reference a map of any city in the world and I calibrate the orientation of the camera correctly initially, when I start to move it seems to work fine, but after a while the orientation starts to fail and the camera drifts, causing the location on the map is not correct. Then I recalibrate the AR camera using the Reset and RecenterPose methods, again giving the orientation I want. Would this use of AR be correct for outdoors?
Do you have a great AR idea but don't know how to properly execute with Vuforia Engine? Use this forum to ask around for help and advise from other developers.

This is my 1st go with Vuforia. So far it is pretty simple! For my POC, I am spawning a model from an Image Target. Is it possible to switch between two models prior to or after the model has been spawned? Specifically I want to show a small plant in a window, then change to a larger plant. It would be ideal if the user could switch between the two.

I am planning to create a navigation application for my apartment. I have no way to scan area target. Is there any way I can create my room without scanning Using the standard 3D unity objects + navmesh so that the application determines my location and direction to the target by Image Target?
I just want to create a room map with walls without scanning.

We inherited app from company which bankrupted and we have some source data, some logins that’s all. There is no way how to maintain existing app so we decided to reverse engineer existing one and rewrite it. The people from previous company are not available for contact.

What I want to achieve is that when you find a surface and spawn an object if you tap the screen again the object doesn't move again.
Is there a way to do that?

I'm trying to achieve similar thing using vuforia like this demo https://developers.google.com/ar/images/augmented-images-demo.mp4 How can I achieve this. So far augmentation working . I tried to use VFX xray effect. But in this demo from front it will show the normal stage but from angle it's showing the object. I'm not sure how to do that. Should i calculate the angle or i can use any shader. Please help me
Change from Tracking mode to Extended Tracking.
I am programming one AR Application on a Windows Surface Go 2 and I need to change the Tracking mode to Extended Tracking mode once the target has found,is there any way to do this?
The Application can do it, but it took several tries.
I believe this is because the vslam application does not works well, and Vuforia cannot access the IMU measurements.
Is there a way to speed up the process?
