Please use this thread as a place to consolidate feature requests for the QCAR SDK. If there is something missing that is holding back your development efforts, we'd like to know about it! If you're having trouble with an existing feature and would like more sample code to help you get started, we'd like to know about that too.

Vuforia Older Version Download

I'm having trouble with the newer versions of vuforia (9.x.x), including the last one.

I don't know why but the image tracking is worse than older version.

I've tested the same unity app with the same image target with vuforia 8.5.8 + unity 2018 and vuforia 9.7.5 + unity 2020.

unity 2018 + vuforia 8 is much better! 

So, Vuforia Team, would you please let us download older versions of vuforia? 

I've got a license and cant use it with the new vuforia versions because its not reliable for my clients.

Central Image Target Recognition

Hi,

For example I have 3 image targets and 3 videoclips on them. When I'm forwarding my camera to the target it starts to play that video which was recognized faster than other 2. But I want to recognize the target wich is on camera's center. 

Camera can see 3 targets but it must play only central one. Hope it's clear :)

Spawn AR object without using markers and plane detection

Hello, I want to spawn an AR object in the world-space without using markers and plane detection. I just want to tap-the-screen to spawn the object (its NOT an issue if the object does not follow physics and floats in the world space). Furthermore, once the object is spawned I also want the AR engine to track it. Is this possible to do in Vuforia (in Unity)? If so please help!

Character location control

Hi,

I want to make an app where I will have several Cylinder or Image targets. There will be 3D characters associated to each target. I want characters interact with each other as much as possible.

But the problem is - distance between the targets are not fixed, i.e., user may put in different distance. Let's say in one case distance between targets in real world will be 20cm, and in other case distance will be 30-40cm.

How to implement this?

Pls guide, tnx.

How can I display tables / grids

I am just starting out with Unity / Vuforia and an building up to writing an app that essentially displays user instructions to wearers of Hololens for specific pieces of equipment. (as a side note I know this is a common use-case so if anyone knows of any projects that might kick me off in the right direction that would be great).

Image Target thoughts

I have a project where I'm using image targets to detect and mural on a wall...

It works great most of the time but at a certain point I get some heave shadowing which causes the track to fail... Any thoughts on other ways I could trigger the experience?

The animation I have aligns to the mural so image target looks the best..
