You can work with gps coordinates right in Unity with or without vuforia.

http://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/LocationService.Start.html

Input.location.lastData.latitude
Input.location.lastData.longitude
Input.location.lastData.altitude

edit:: sorry didn't realize this wasn't the unity section :(

Hi jspotmobile

You might like to check out Qualcomms Gimbal SDK as it seems to have some of the functionality you are interested in, plus there is integration with the Vuforia image recognition in the sample app.

Vuforia doesn't provide a location API. The SDK is dedicated to computer vision based AR applications. You could adapt location based AR to a vuforia app, but you'd need to develop the POI discovery and presentation aspects yourself.

Hi jspotmobile

Your question is not clear to me.

Vuforia is the underlying AR technology that permits the building of applications such as AR browsers, amongst others.

It handles recognition and offers a variety of image tracking capabilities along with the ability to augment the recognised target with 3D models and/or video through access to the pose/matrix of the trackable

Does this answer your question?
