Display project in HoloLens, not in the computer webcam

March 20, 2019 - 2:33am #1

Hi!

I got a simple Vuforia project and basically I'd like to see the project through the HoloLens device (not the emulator), but at the moment I see what the computer webcam see through the HoloLens instead. This is not an issue when not using Vuforia Engines AR camera.

I followed this to set up my project for HoloLens (but i don't intend to build the project just yet!), but imported a HoloToolKit first to auto set up the project settings for viewing the projekt in HoloLens without Vuforia.

Is it possible to see the Vuforia project through the HoloLens without building the project and opening it in visual studio and without seeing what the computer webcam sees? How do I do it?

It is basically this problem but with a real hololens device.

Thanks,

Hello,

Thanks for clarifying. Unfortunately, the Vuforia Unity Extension does not allow for using the HoloLens webcam in PlayMode.

Thanks,

Display project in HoloLens, not in the computer webcam

After reading this a few days later I noticed this is a pretty confusing question, sorry about that.

In vuforiaConfiguration -> webcam it is possible to choose which camera device I'd like to use. Is it possible to change the camera device to the HoloLens device? Or is there any other way to see through the HoloLenses camera while testing my project in unity?

Hopefully someone can answer this no matter the bad quality of this question.

Thanks!
