Multiple Image Targets Simultaneously, of same image?

January 7, 2015 - 6:29am #1

Hi,

I can track multiple image targets simultaneously if the tracking images are all different, but is there a way to track them if you are trying to track multiple targets that all have the same image?

Thanks

Hello,

Unfortunately, no. Vuforia still does not support multiple instances of the same target.

Thanks,

I agree. This should be added to the next update. it can´t be that hard to fix this. There are many cases were you will need the same image target to be instanced twice, along each other. I´m working on a Trading Card Game, and this has been the only limitation I´ve found.

Targets need to be different from each other;

duplicate targets (i.e. multiple physical instances of the same image target) are not supported as of today. Vuforia would track one or the other printed target, depending on which one is detected first.
