How to create Instant Image Targets at Runtime from a file or Texture2D Objects

August 20, 2021 - 9:48am #10

Hello, I upgraded to the Engine 10.0.12 and I got new errors of "error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'ObjectTracker' could not be found", "error CS1061: ITrackerManager' does not contain a definition for 'GetTracker' and no accessible extension method 'GetTracker' accepting a first argument of type 'ITrackerManager' could be found" and "error CS0117: 'VuforiaUnity' does not contain a definition for 'StorageType'".

However, the problem with Engine 9.8.8 solved when I created a folder named "Vuforia" inside another named "StreamingAssets" and put the image in it. Now it is successfully creates the instant image target on running this line of code "runtimeImageSource.SetFile(VuforiaUnity.StorageType.STORAGE_APPRESOURCE, "Vuforia/machines.jpg", 0.15f, "machines");".

Thanks

Is there a possibility you can upgrade to Vuforia Engine 10.0 and see if that solves the issue?

Hi,

I have this problem with both Vuforia Engines 9.8.8 and 8.6.7. I added the Engine through "Package Manager", "Add package from disk" option. For the Engine 9.8.8, I could not even have the Streaming Assets/Vuforia Folder. Thanks!

Hello, I am following the Vuforia Documentation tutorial on "How to Create and Load Targets in Unity, create Instant Image Targets at Runtime from a local folder". I am getting the error of "Instant image target at 'Vuforia/Astronaut_scaled.jpg' could not be created", on this line of code "runtimeImageSource.SetFile". Both the image name and address are correct, What could be the problem?
