Max Simultaneous Tracking

Hi,

What is the Max Simultaneous Tracking/Recognition image targets that is recommended?

Is it platform dependent iOS vs Android?

When will Vuforia functionality start to breakdown or will go as far as the physical device can take it?

How can I adjust the max targets at runtime if the device's specs are the bottleneck?

Best,

Umar

Hello,

I think in this case you could check the Core Example asset from the Unity Asset Store . Please check the 3-ModelTargets scene from the assets/SamplesResources/Scenes folder. There is an example for Advance model Target database which actually will scan 2 different model targets( the Mars Viking Lander and the RZR_Toy). When it recognize one of the object it will start tracking and will display the augmentation. You can calling RESET voice command restart the tracking,

You can also use a model target with a guided view. In this case it  will scan only one  guided view  at specific time - where the guided view projection - 2D guide is displayed

Hello,

We recommend that you do not exceed tracking ten (10) simultaneous 2D targets, and two (2) simultaneously tracked Object Targets. Vuforia Model Targets current imposes a maximum of one (1) target that can be tracked at a time.

These settings are not platform dependent, but they can be device dependent when considering the device specs. There's no Vuforia Engine API that monitors the device's performance, but we tend to watch CPU, GPU and/or capture frame rate as evidence that a device's performance is suffering.

Here are the Vuforia APIs to control these settings:

I'm trying to make an AR project with 2 target models, when I try, insert the two 3D models into the camera frame, Vuforia can only detect one object, after tracking one Target Model, the other target models won't be tracked

is there a way so that when another target model is detected, it can automatically switch tracking to another target model?

it's a bit troublesome if it can only detect one target model,I really need to make sure that only one target model fits into the camera frame considering my project there are so many target models that are close to each other

Middle of this page should answer your questions:  https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/Targets.html

It is not platform dependent as far as I know.
